Medical Gas Testing Services Ltd (MGTS) was first established in 2003 by

chemist Paul Jones. From the company’s base in Hertfordshire, MGTS are

global leaders in QC testing, commissioning and consultancy of Medical Gas

Pipeline Systems, providing client’s with the assurance that their systems are

fully compliant to a wide range of standards.

MGTS prides itself on delivering the best quality service, investing heavily in the

latest advanced portable and bench-based instruments in order to remain at the

forefront of their field. With over 40 years experience in UK NHS Hospital Trusts

and private sectors alone, MGTS were pioneers in the development of Manifold

Cylinder Pin-Indexing, Safe Purge Gas Methods and the B.S. 5750 Registration

of Medical Gas Installers in the early 1970s.

More recently, MGTS have been involved in the testing of the first piped Heliox

(21% O2 + 79% He) system in the UK as well as assisted in the introduction of

new LOX VIE accommodation solutions where dual oxygen tanks have been

internally situated on the first floor of a central London hospital site. 

MGTS have also been involved in a project to install piped oxygen and vacuum supplies

inside the famous London skyscraper, The Shard.

Further afield, MGTS are involved in the introduction of HTM 02 commissioning

protocols in Ghana, UK Hospital collaborative projects in the UAE and the

adoption of large oxygen and medical air cylinder pin-indexing in Qatar.

MGTS provides a diverse service, extending into the testing of piped gases in

snake anti-venom factories, hospital ships, universities, football stadiums,

hyperbaric and cryotherapy clinics, Ministry of Defence sites as well as in the

Water, Space, Dental and Laboratory Industries.

MGTS also feel it is important to pass on their knowledge and expertise and have

previously lectured to Nato troops, Doctors and Pharmacists both at home and

abroad, as well as developed practical workshops for QC trainees at a Leeds

University course, seminars to APs at Eastwood Park Training Centre and on-

site practical training of portering staff for the safe cylinder handling practices.

 

The ethos of MGTS is in the consummate skill of its highly experienced

personnel and very personal service. Each job is a strong collaboration between

QC and client from initial consultation through to completion of finished work.
